Divisions

  • Typical ages include 4 & 5 year olds, most who have never played the game.
  • The purpose of the T-Ball league is to introduce the game of baseball and develop the fundamentals of baseball for all kids participating. This includes catching, throwing and hitting.
  • Our first priority is to teach kids to have fun while learning the fundamentals of baseball.
  • Games are played once weekly on Saturdays in this division. There are no playoffs in T-Ball.
  • Recommended for 5 and 6 year-olds.
  • Introduces live pitching through the use of coach pitch / soft toss baseballs to the batters.
  • Players are encouraged to swing while learning the strike zone.
  • Games are played once weekly on Saturdays in this division. There are no playoffs in AA Coach Pitch.
  • Recommended for 7 and 8 year olds.
  • Using a pitching machine, it results in more action at the plate and in the field, while avoiding the fear of being hit by a pitched ball. Games move quickly and players learn the fundamentals of coordinated defense.
  • Recommended for players that have played at least 1 year in AA Coach Pitch. Please contact commissioner for exceptions.
  • Those players that are in 2nd grade (typically 8 year olds) are encouraged to play 8U kid pitch division if they have an average or better skill-set.
  • Games are played once weekly on Saturdays in this division. There are no playoffs in AAA Machine Pitch.
  • Recommended for 8 year olds. Typical Grade Level: 2nd grade.
  • Bridges the gap between Machine Pitch and Minors by emphasizing pitching and catching and the concept of smart hitting. This is the first level of Kid Pitch available through SCR Baseball.
  • We would like all capable 8 year olds to progress through this division to increase their confidence for the next level. We recommend 1 year in AAA Machine Pitch before moving to this division.
  • Games are played once weekly on Saturdays in this division. Wins and Losses are recorded in this division, and teams will participate in a Double Elimination tournament at the conclusion of the spring regular season.

  • For 9 and 10 year-olds. Typical Grade Level: 3rd and 4th grade.
  • The Minors division helps players to continue to build and refine their fundamental skills and gain a better understanding of the game.
  • Modified stealing and baseball tactics are introduced.
  • For the Spring season, games are played 2 times per week in this division, once on a weeknight, and the other on Saturday.
  • Wins and Losses are recorded in this division, and teams will participate in a double elimination tournament at the conclusion of the regular season.
  • Umpires are provided for this division.
  • Typical Grade Level: 3rd and 4th grade. The Majors 10U division is for the players looking for Majors rules at an earlier age (full baseball rules).
  • Considered a more competitive division mostly for teams who have been together for a while.
  • No infield fair play rule and no restrictions on base running that minors division has.
  • If you tryout for this level and do not get drafted by a team you will automatically be put into the Minors division draft and placed on a team.
  • Games are played 2 times per week in this division, once on a weeknight, and the other on Saturday. Wins and Losses are recorded in this division, and teams will participate in a Double Elimination tournament at the conclusion of the spring regular season.

  • For 11 and-12 year-olds Typical Grade Level: 5th and 6th grades.
  • This division is played on 70-foot base paths and 50-foot pitching mound.
  • This is played by the Official Baseball Rules, but implements some special rules as necessary for the development and welfare of this age group.
  • Games are played 2 times per week in this division, once on a weeknight, and the other on Saturday.
  • Wins and Losses are recorded in this division, and teams will participate in a Double Elimination tournament at the conclusion of the spring regular season.
