To provide the best experience for all the players in Scottsdale Cal Ripken, the league has established a refund policy for registration at all levels, Rookie (T-ball) through 12U Majors).

Since the Scottsdale Cal Ripken, which operates as a not-for-profit and is subject to processing fees, we will refund your registration fees less the fees charged by the credit card processor only as described below.

1) In the event the request for refund is made prior to team assignments, the refund shall be calculated deducting the processing fee charged at the time of registration.  As an example, if the registration fee is $235, the processing fee is $7.15 (235 x 2.9% + 0.30). 

2) In the event the request for refund is made after the player has been assigned to a team but before the first game of the season, the refund shall be calculated deducting the uniform cost plus the processing fee.

3) In the event the request for refund is made after the first game of the season, no refund will be made.

The player will be removed from their team once a refund is issued. In no event will a player that receives a refund be allowed to participate in any practices or games, including participating as a guest player or allstar team tryouts held during the refund season. If a player is found in violation of this policy, then such player will be suspended for the remainder of the season and future registration will require SCR board approval.  Coaches will be notified of roster removal. If a coach allows such players to participate in practices or games, then the coach will be suspended, and the team will be subject to suspension and forfeiture of games.

Refunds will be processed quickly, typically within approximately twenty days of verification of payment.

Note: Current credit card processing fees as of December 1, 2022 are 2.9% of the transaction cost plus $0.30 for each transaction.  Processing fees subject to change without notice.
